Kellie Irene Flynn has been working in dental offices for a number of years, so
she knows exactly what to say to patients who are new to professional
dental services. Some of the machinery and tools can be a little
overwhelming for those new the field, but here are some things to expect
from your experience in a dental office.
The first thing you’ll
want to do when you go to the dentist is brush your teeth. Most dental
offices will have a bathroom for patients with disposable toothbrushes,
toothpaste, and mouth wash. Cleaning your teeth as best as you can
before you see the doctor will make their jobs easier, and your visit
quicker.
If you’re a new patient, expect the dental hygienist to
take some x-rays of your teeth and the inside of your mouth for dental
records. These may have to be updated every couple of visits, but it is
important to expect it on your first visit to the office.
After the initial procedures, your teeth will be cleaned and flossed.
